EchoStar Purchases Office Buildings in Meridian International Business Center in Colorado

EchoStar Communications Corporation (NASDAQ: DISH) announced it has closed today on the purchase of the former Merrill Lynch office buildings in the Meridian International Business Center in Englewood, Colo. The two buildings are located on approximately 66 acres of land southeast of the junction of Interstate 25 and E-470 and provide approximately 420,000 square feet of office space for EchoStar to expand its operations and accommodate future growth. EchoStar continues to maintain its corporate presence at its current headquarters in the City of Littleton.

The purchase was made with the assistance of Colorado's governor and his Office of Economic Development & International Trade as well as with officials from Douglas County, Frederick Ross Real Estate, Lottner Rubin Fishman Brown and Saul P.C., Intermountain Corporate Affairs, Southeast Business Partnership and Peter Culshaw of Meridian International Business Center.
